Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed deep grief over the incident. In a social media post, he stated, “Extremely saddened to hear about the helicopter crash in Rudraprayag. Recent Crashes In Uttarakhand

This is the third helicopter incident in Uttarakhand within the last five weeks. On June 7, a Crystal Aviation helicopter carrying five passengers experienced a technical glitch shortly after takeoff from Badasu helipad and made an emergency landing on the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund highway. The pilot was injured, but all passengers were safe. The helicopter’s tail struck a parked car and nearby shops were also damaged.

Earlier on May 8, another helicopter operated by Aerotrans crashed near Gangnani on the Gangotri National Highway. Of the seven people on board, six were killed on the spot, while one injured passenger was airlifted to AIIMS Rishikesh. That chopper had taken off from Sahastradhara helipad for Harsil and included pilgrims from Mumbai and Andhra Pradesh.
