Karisma Kapoor Jets Off For Sunjay Kapur's Funeral In Delhi, Kareena Kapoor Khan & Saif Ali Khan Accompany Her (VIDEO)

Actress Karisma Kapoor was seen flying to New Delhi on Thursday, along with her kids Samaira and Kiaan, for the funeral of her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur. The businessman died on June 12 after suffering a heart attack while playing polo in the UK. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan were also seen accompanying Karisma.

On Thursday morning, Karisma was spotted at the private airport in Mumbai with her kids. The actress, dressed in all white, avoided the paparazzi and quickly made her way inside, all the while shielding her children.

Soon after, Kareena and Saif were also seen arriving at the airport and they too wore all white clothes, indicating that they were flying to Delhi as well for Sunjay's funeral. The couple quickly got out of the car and hurried inside to catch up with Karisma.

Sunjay passed away on June 12 after he swallowed a bee while riding a horse during his polo game and it got stuck in his throat. It triggered panic, leading to a heart attack. His funeral was delayed due to legal complications as he held a US citizenship but his place of death was UK and his cremation is to be held in Delhi.

Sunjay's last rites will be held at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground in New Delhi on Thursday at 5 pm. The family will hold a special prayer meeting in Delhi on June 22, Sunday.

Karisma and Sunjay got married in 2003 in a grand ceremony, but their marriage soon hit rough waters, and it ended with a messy divorce in 2016. In her divorce plea, the actress accused her ex-husband of domestic abuse and forcing her to sleep with his friends durinng their honeymoon.

Post his divorce with Karisma, Sunjay got married to Priya Sachdev, and they even have a son together named Azarius.
