Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): For the second consecutive day, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Bhopal conducted a strict enforcement drive targeting school buses violating safety norms.
On Thursday, six buses belonging to three prominent private schools - Holy Cross School, Holy Family Public School, and Father Angel School- were seized for lacking essential documents, said RTO officer here.
The buses were found operating without valid fitness certificates, permits, insurance, and with pending road taxes. All six vehicles were taken to the RTO office.

Detailed findings revealed that a bus from Father Angel School was running without a permit and fitness certificate. Three buses of Holy Cross School were found to be without permits, fitness certificates, insurance, and tax clearance. Similarly, a bus of Holy Family School lacked both permit and fitness approval.
RTO officer Jitendra Sharma stated that such negligence poses a serious risk to students’ safety. “Operating school buses without proper documentation is a gamble with children's lives.
We will continue our checking drives and stricter action will follow if rules are violated,” he said, adding that the safety of children remains the department’s top priority.
