In view of the continuous heavy rainfall across Raigad district and rising water levels in major rivers, the Sahyadri Wildlife Conservation Social Organization (SVRSS) has declared complete preparedness for any flood-related emergency response. The Kundalika River, having crossed the danger mark, remains a key concern.
SVRSS has mobilized its resources, rescue teams, and equipment to tackle any potential flood situation swiftly and efficiently. The organization has assured full cooperation with the district administration in relief and rescue operations, should the need arise." "Officials including the taluka Tehsildar Kishor Jadhav along with. Aniket J. Tatkare Personal Assistant, Mr. Umesh Lokhande, visited the SVRSS office to personally review the flood preparedness measures. They took stock of emergency equipment, communication systems, and manpower readiness to ensure prompt response in case of worsening conditions," said a volunteer.

Authorities have advised residents, especially those in flood-prone and low-lying areas, to remain vigilant as the situation evolves.
