Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The wedding ceremony of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s younger son Kunal Chouhan turned out to be a mega event in the city on Friday. Kunal tied the nuptial knot with Ridhi, a young woman from a reputed Jain family.
The ceremony was attended by a galaxy of top dignitaries, including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor MangubhaiC. Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, and Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari.
BJP National Organisation General Secretary Shiv Prakash, senior leaders of the party’s state unit, and ministers of the Mohan Yadav cabinet were among those who graced the occasion. Former chief minister and senior Congress leader Kamal Nath also turned up to bless the couple.
Before the wedding, Kunal’s baraat saw both his parents beam with happiness as they danced to the beat of the drums. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya took everyone by surprise by shaking a leg as well. The wedding was solemnized at a prominent hotel in the city with all the rituals amidst chanting of mantras.
‘As a daughter’
An elated Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted that Kunal and Ridhi are made for each other. He added that Ridhi was not coming to the family as a daughter-in-law but as a daughter.
