Paris: A World War-II unexploded bomb was found on train tracks in Saint-Denis area in France’s Paris on Friday. Eurostar trains to London and all trains to northern Paris were halted, reported CNN. As per the Paris Police, the bomb was discovered by workers along railway tracks near the Gare du Nord station at around 4 am.
Panic gripped among the commuters present at the station. Authorities swung into action after receiving the information. Technicians from the 'demining' team are currently present at the spot, reported CNN.

An SNCF spokesperson described the bomb as “really huge”. “The bomb could be a serious threat to people’s lives,” the spokesperson said as quoted by CNN. French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot warned of disrupted services the entire day.
Notably, the SNCF operates France's national railway system.
The Gare du Nord train station lies in the north of Paris. It is one of the busiest stations in the European nation. As per estimates, it served 700,000 people daily, as per the SNCF, reported AFP. It is also a key station as it connects international destinations north of France and the main Paris airport.
Security personnel inside the station are helping the passengers.
