In a viral video that has grabbed wide attention on the social media Indian tourists are depicted being mocked and insulted in Thailand by shop owners and vendors. In the viral video, an Indian woman is complaining about the continuous mocking in Thailand market areas despite Indians being the major stakeholders in their overall customers.

The video shows an Indian woman walking across marketplace in Phuket. While doing so she also complains about the treatment she is recieving in the market area by the shop owners. She said, "I don't know why there is so much hatred towards Indian people in this particular area. I've been to 5-6 shops, and everyone is abusing and mocking, you Indian people, you don't buy anything."
"There was a Nepali vendor, and he said the same thing, Indians don't buy anything. Off course I will bargain if you ask ₹2,000 for a ₹200 thing," she added.
Further in the video, she asks another Indian worker named Kuldeep, who is based in Phuket, on why Indians are being mocked here. He then explains, "Not all Indians are bad, but Indians have a tendency of bargaining everywhere, they always ask for discount. People here don't like that."
