Hyderabad, June 30: In a shocking incident, a video has surfaced on social media in which it can be seen that a thief enters a mobile shop and robs mobile phones worth Rs 5 lakh in Hyderabad. The thief entered the shop after drilling a hole in the wall of the shop and his act was caught on the CCTV camera installed inside the shop.
As per reports the major theft took place late on Sunday (June 29) night at the Big C mobile showroom located on the busy Dilsukhnagar-Koti main road in Hyderabad. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Malakpet Police Station area.
Thief Breaks In and Steals Expensive Phones
According to police sources, an unidentified man broke into the showroom around midnight and made away with mobile phones worth approximately Rs 5 lakh. The suspect reportedly acted alone and managed to flee the shop before anyone could respond.
Theft Captured on CCTV Cameras
The entire incident was captured on the showroom’s CCTV cameras. In the footage, the thief can be seen moving quickly through the store, collecting multiple mobile phones and leaving the premises in a matter of minutes. The video also shows a hole in the wall of the showroom through which the thief reportedly entered the shop.
Police Launch Investigation
The Malakpet police have registered a case and are actively investigating the burglary. Officials confirmed that the CCTV footage has been secured, but the identity of the suspect has not yet been determined. Special teams are reviewing the footage and checking nearby surveillance systems to trace the suspect’s movements.

The incident has caused concern among other shopkeepers and business owners in the Dilsukhnagar area. Many have called on the police and local authorities to increase night-time patrolling and improve security measures for commercial establishments, especially in busy market zones.
