South Africa Champions crushed Pakistan Champions by 9 wickets to win their first World Championship of Legends trophy. AB de Villiers was the star with the bat, scoring an unbeaten century in the final. However, it was the post-match celebration that truly went viral.
As the team gathered to lift the trophy Parnell stepped in front of the 'Champions' hoarding and broke into the ‘aura farming’ dance, much to the delight of fans and teammates. Behind him, the rest of the squad mimicked rowing motions, recreating the viral choreography that has taken over social media.
AB de Villier, JP Duminy power South Africa to title win
South Africa Champions stormed to their maiden World Championship of Legends (WCL) title in emphatic fashion, chasing down 196 with nine wickets in hand against Pakistan Champions in the final thanks to a stunning partnership between AB de Villiers and JP Duminy.
Earlier, after opting to bat first, Pakistan Champions found themselves in early trouble when opener Kamran Akmal was dismissed cheaply for just 2 runs. However, Sharjeel Khan kept the innings afloat with a blistering 76 off 44 balls.

Middle-order contributions from Mohammad Hafeez (17) and Shoaib Malik (20) helped maintain momentum, while Umar Amin anchored the innings with a composed unbeaten 36. Asif Ali chipped in with a rapid 28-run cameo, lifting Pakistan to a competitive total of 195/5 in their 20 overs. South Africa’s bowlers shared the workload well — Wayne Parnell and Hardus Viljoen claimed two wickets each, while Duane Olivier grabbed one.
In response, South Africa Champions lost opener Hashim Amla for 18 to the crafty Saeed Ajmal, but the early setback was quickly forgotten.
What followed was a dominant display of batting led by AB de Villiers, who was in a league of his own. The South African legend brought his full range of unorthodox brilliance to the final, smashing an unbeaten 120 off 60 deliveries. JP Duminy finished with an unbeaten 50 off 28 balls while stitching an unbroken 178-run stand and helping the side to victory in just 16.5 overs.
