England batter Joe Root and Team India pacer Prasidh Krishna had a rather sedate exchange on day four of the fifth Test at the Kia Oval in London. The moment came two days after the pair were involved in a heated exchange and the umpire had to intervene. The video of the moment from Day four has surfaced on social media.

Root, who is rather quite composed on the crease almost all the time, retaliated in a hostile manner to something Krishna said. Speaking about the incident after Day 2, the Karnataka-born cricketer acknowledged that he was surprised to see such a reaction from the Yorkshire batter. He said in the presser, as quoted by BBC Sport:
"It was the plan [to disrupt him], but I didn't expect the couple of words that I said to get such a big reaction from him. I love the guy that he is, he is a legend of the game. It's just when two people are out there wanting to be a winner and wanting to be the best in that moment. It was just a small thing, the competitive edge coming out. Both of us are good mates off the field and it was just a bit of banter."

Prasidh Krishna nips out Ben Duckett to give Team India their first breakthrough of Day 4
The 29-year-old, who took four wickets in the first innings, added Ben Duckett's scalp to his tally on Day 4 at The Oval as the left-hander edged a full delivery to the slip cordon as KL Rahul took a sharp catch.
A few overs later, Mohammed Siraj took his second wicket of the innings, trapping skipper Ollie Pope lbw for 27 just when the Surrey batter was finding his groove. Siraj's first victim proved to be Zak Crawley, who got outsmarted by a yorker.
The home side are currently in pursuit of 374.
