American motorsports driver Bubba Wallace's car's left front tire came off as he was in the running for a second place in the final stage of Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia. With the left front tire not fully secure, it bizarrely began rolling onto the ground as a video of it surfaced on social media.

American motorsports driver Bubba Wallace's car's left front tire came off as he was in the running for a second place in the final stage of Richmond Raceway during the NASCAR Cup Series. With the left front tire not fully secure, it bizarrely began rolling onto the ground as a video of it surfaced on social media.

Retrospectively, Wallace's 23XI Racing pit team tried to snaffle his attention to get him to reverse so they could have the tire secure but he didn't get the message. The 31-year-old was further down the pit lane when the wheel was detached from the vehicle. Wallace's car's tire was reattached by the rival Toyota pit crew to get him back on track without copping a penalty.

"Pull in right there, Pull in right there", a crew member of Wallace's team radioed.

Bubba Wallace had created history at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Wallace, meanwhile, had etched his name in the history of NASCAR at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in a race held three weeks ago. The 31-year-old became the first black driver to emerge victorious on the 2.5-mile Oval at the at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Wallace had notably stalled Kyle Larson to clinch the biggest win of his career.

With showers at the event bringing the race to a screeching halt, Wallace admitted wondering whether it was going to resume. He had said, as quoted by The Times of India:

"The whole time I’m thinking are we going? Are we not? I will say I leaned more towards ‘I know we’re going to go back racing. Be ready. Don’t get complacent here."

The triumph had also ended his 100-race winless run that harked back to 2022.
