Two hat-tricks in the same match is very rare in cricket. However, a cricketer by the name of Kishore Kumar Sadhak did the impossible during a cricket match in the United Kingdom. The spin bowler picked up two hat-tricks in the same match, that too in consecutive overs.

Playing for Ipswich and Colchester Cricket Club, Sadhak achieved the feat against Kesgrave on 5 July. He took 6 wicketsgiving away 21 runs in the Two Counties Championship Division Six match.

Kishore bowled 6 overs and sent back five batsmen by bowling them out while the sixth batsman was caught out. Five Kesgrave batsmen walked back to the pavilion without even opening their accounts.

Kishore Kumar Sadhak takes double hat-trick

In the fourth over of his spell, he completed his first hat-trick by taking wickets on the last three balls. After this, in the next over, he took another hat-trick by taking three wickets on the third, fourth and fifth balls. Not only bowling, Kishore also contributed to his team's batting by scoring an unbeaten innings of 14 runs for the team chasing a target of 139. His innings was laced with two fours and a six, helping his team achieve the target in 21 overs.

Speak to BBC Essex's Around the Wicket, "I got a lot of phone calls after the match. We went to a restaurant and we enjoyed drinks and food. We spent about two and a half hours there. It was a very lovely moment. When I saw that the batsman was bowled, I was flying in the sky. It was amazing."

Has anyone taken two hat-tricks in single match?

Taking two hat-tricks in a single match has been accomplished before by Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. The left-arm pacer took two hat-tricks in a Sheffield Shield match for New South Wales in 2017. The same happened 113 years ago in a match at Old Trafford when Australia's Jimmy Matthews took two hat-tricks of three wickets against South Africa. But on both those occasions, the six wickets were spread across two innings.
