Team India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal's chat with captain Shubman Gill went viral on stump mic on day one of the opening Test against England at the Headingley, Leeds. With Jaiswal on strike at the time, the 23-year-old was heard talking to his captain as they discussed about co-ordinating their running between the wickets.
Jaiswal, who is coming off a highly successful tour of Australia, has made his mark on the first day of the Test series against England. The Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer slammed a hundred off only 144 deliveries, taking advantage of the batting-friendly conditions on day one at Headingley. In the process, the youngster also became the first Indian opener to slam a hundred at the venue.

"Haan haan bolte rehna bas, meri aadat hai aage jaane ki. Mereko zor se no boldo chalega, meri aadat hai lekin." (I have a habit of moving forward, so you can tell me no loudly.
After the left-hander negotiated a short-pitched delivery and Gill denied a run, Jaiswal screamed:
"Arey aa jaao yaar. Bhaiya yaar." (Bhaiya, you could have come).
However, Jaiswal's wicket was claimed by Ben Stokes for 101 in the very first over he sent down after tea.

Meanwhile, the toss at the Headingley went in favour of England and Ben Stokes opted to field first. Visiting captain Shubman Gill announced a debut for B Sai Sudharsan.
