Indian pacer Mukesh Kumar has set social media abuzz after posting a cryptic Instagram story, seemingly in response to his omission from the Indian Test squad for the upcoming five-match series against England. The 31-year-old fast bowler shared the message on Wednesday just a day after another pacer, Harshit Rana, was added to the main squad.
Mukesh’s Instagram story read, “Karma bides its time. You will always have to watch out. Karma is unforgiving and always gets payback.” Though he didn’t name anyone, the timing and tone of the post clearly suggest a reaction to the recent team decisions.

Mukesh was not included in the Test squad that was announced in May. Instead, he was picked for the India A team to play two unofficial Tests against the England Lions. In the first match, held at Canterbury from May 30 to June 2, he took three wickets for 92 runs, showing glimpses of his skill in seaming conditions.
However, in a surprising move ahead of the first Test, scheduled to begin on June 20, the BCCI named Harshit Rana as an addition to the senior team. Rana, who had also played in the same India A match, had less impressive figures of 1/99. His sudden elevation to the main squad sparked discussions.
'If You Are Good Friends...': Rishabh Pant Reflects On His Special Bond With Shubman Gill Ahead Of ENG Vs IND Test Series; Video
As India prepares for the upcoming Test series against England, wicketkeeper and vice-captain Rishabh Pant has spoken warmly about his strong friendship with new Test captain Shubman Gill.
Pant shared that he and Gill share a great understanding, both on and off the field. He said their relationship is very comfortable and friendly, which helps their teamwork during matches. According to Pant, being good friends off the field makes communication easier and creates a better connection when playing together.
“I think me and Shubman have really good camaraderie, off the field especially. If you are good friends off the field, it eventually comes on the field. We gel really well together. We keep on having conversations, and the kind of comfort zone we have with each other, I think that is really going to be special for us,” said Pant.
With Rohit Sharma retiring from Test cricket, 25-year-old Shubman Gill has taken over as captain. Pant, who brings experience and energy, continues as the team’s vice-captain.
