Former Team India head coach Ravi Shastri's response to fan request on air went viral on day five of the second Test against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham. With a fan holding a poster that read, 'Do you want Chai?' to Shastri, the 62-year-old, who is working as a commentator, hilariously responded by saying he would love some Masala chai.

The moment occurred within the first hour of day five during the 20th over of the innings as one of the Indian fans displayed a poster with the above-mentioned question. With the camera panning towards it, fellow commentator Kumar Sangakkara spotted it and read it out for Shastri.

In response, Shastri said:

"Oh yeah, get some Masala Chai, boy. Just get it nice, spicy."

Team India five wickets away from levelling the five-Test series against England

On the cricketing side of things, the tourists have established himself on top, having nipped out Harry Brook and Ollie Pope, the two overnight England batters. Akash Deep rearranged Pope's stumps for 24, while Brook got deceived by the one that kept low and came back viciously to strike the pad.

Deep, who snaffled four wickets in the first innings, dismissed Ben Duckett and Joe Root on day four, reducing the home side to 77/3 in pursuit of 608. Shubman Gill top-scored for Team India in both innings, hammering 269 in the first and followed it up with 161.

The Asian Giants had also got an excellent head start of a 180-run lead, gaining after bowling England out for 407 following India's first-innings total of 587. The victory for India will also be their first-ever in Tests at Edgbaston.
