Team India captain Shubman Gill's conversation with the players during team huddle went viral ahead of day five of the second Test against England at Edgbaston, Birmingham. In a video surfaced on social media, Gill uttered strong words to his players, expressing his urge to pummel England and defeat them to level the series.

Walking into day five at Edgbaston, India held a massive upper hand, needing only eight wickets to win and the hosts required well over 400 runs. Following a fairly lengthy delay, the tourists came with a sense of purpose. In a video surfaced on social media, the 25-year-old told the players.

"Inki Maa ch**ni hai Aaj. New ball hai g**d maar do aaj inki. Yahi time hai." (It's a new ball, we have to take wickets in clusters. This is the time)

Nevertheless, Free Press Journal cannot confirm the authenticity of the video.

Meanwhile, Gill and right-arm seamer Akash Deep played central roles in the Asian Giants' mammoth 337-run win over England at Edgbaston, thereby levelling the series ahead of the Lord's showdown, beginning on July 10.

Gill, who is easily the highest run-getter of the series, hit 269 and 161 to gain the Player of the Match award. Meanwhile, Akash Deep, who replaced Jasprit Bumrah, did a top-notch job, picking up ten wickets in the match, including six in the second innings.
