Australian batter Travis Head reacted to the aggressive heat conditions in Barbados while addressing a press conference after day one of the opening Test against the West Indies. In a video surfaced on social media, the left-handed batter was heard saying 'F**king how hot it is in here' after answering a question from a reporter.

On what was a tricky surface at the Bridgetown in Barbados, Head emerged as the top-scorer for Australia, making 59 runs. Usman Khawaja was the only other Aussie batter to pass 40 as the tourists folded for 180. Nevertheless, the bowlers equally hit back, dismissing four West Indian batters, with Mitchell Starc snaring a couple of scalps. At stumps, the home side were 57/4.

The South Australian also felt that the conditions weren't as suitable for batting during their innings but hopes to put on a better show the next time. The southpaw stated, as quoted by Perth Now:
"You always want to try and adapt to the conditions the best way we can. We battle hard against really quality attacks, so on another day you hope you get through it. But yeah, we get another opportunity and hopefully tomorrow to play well again and put ourselves in a position to try and win again."
Australia came to the West Indies immediately after a loss to South Africa in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
