Nanded: Considering the increased incidents of Alarm Chain Pulling (ACP) in passenger and express trains, South Central Railway (SCR) Nanded Division has taken stern action against these incidents.

In all, 320 accused were arrested, and action was taken in 103 cases by recovering ₹83,000 from July 2025. Such incidents not only cause delays to the trains but also hamper the train timetable, causing severe inconvenience to passengers.
According to SCR sources, ACP should be used only during emergency situations like accidents, fire, safety issues, or for the convenience of elderly and handicapped passengers.

Apart from these situations, the use of ACP is a crime. There is a provision of one year’s imprisonment and a ₹1,000 fine under Section 141 of the Railway Act, 1989, for this offense.
The Nanded Circle has appealed to all railway passengers not to misuse ACP and to cooperate with the railways. It affects the train timetable and passengers’ convenience. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty of ACP.
