Just days after a video of a fight among women commuters on a Churchgate-Virar local train went viral, another similar incident has come to light. This time, the altercation reportedly took place on a Central Railway (CR) fast train local heading toward Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), near Thane, during the busy morning rush hour. However, there has been no official confirmation of the incident by Central Railways authorities so far.
About The Incident
The new video, which has been widely circulated on social media, shows a chaotic scene inside an overcrowded women’s compartment. The clip captures passengers shouting, using abusive language, and physically pushing one another. At least two women can be seen pulling each other’s hair in a heated scuffle, while others either watch or attempt—unsuccessfully—to intervene.

Despite the video’s viral spread and growing public concern, railway authorities have not received any formal complaint about the incident. A railway official stated, “No complaint has been received so far in connection with this video.”
According to initial reports, the fight started over a dispute for seating—a common issue during peak hours in Mumbai’s suburban trains. The exact date and time of the incident have not yet been verified.
This marks the second such incident in recent days, following a similar altercation last week on a Churchgate-Virar local train. That video also showed aggressive behavior and physical confrontation among women in a compartment reserved exclusively for female passengers.
The recurring nature of such incidents has raised serious concerns about passenger safety, discipline, and the daily challenges faced by commuters. With overcrowding continuing to affect local trains—especially during peak hours—experts suggest that stricter enforcement of rules and increased public awareness campaigns may be necessary to ensure safer and more orderly travel conditions.
Initially, reports suggested that the incident occurred near Dombivli. However, sources confirmed to FPJ that the altercation actually took place as the train was approaching Thane.
