A resident of Gharonda Housing Society in Ghansoli, he was allegedly driving in intoxicated state. According to police, the incident occurred around 1 PM when Pawar was driving his Baleno car, bearing a police sticker, towards D-Mart in Ghansoli. Driving rashly and at high speed, Pawar collided with a Pulsar bike ridden by 39-year-old Vicky Uchgaonkar, causing him to fall and sustain injuries.
