Mumbai: A shocking incident took place at Mumbai Airport where a woman was captured on video assaulting an Ola cab driver after missing her flight. The video, now viral on social media, shows the woman chasing the driver, hurling abuses and attacking him with kicks and punches.
The altercation reportedly began after the woman missed her flight and blamed the cab driver for the delay. Instead of accepting responsibility for leaving home late, she vented her frustration on the driver. The woman publicly humiliated the man, who tried to evade her attacks by running away.
Despite his efforts, the woman continued her aggressive behaviour, hitting him repeatedly on the road. In the video, the cab driver is seen visibly distressed, attempting to protect himself from the relentless assault.
The video was also shared on the X handle 'NCMIndia Council for Men Affairs,' with many condemning the woman's actions. The video was posted with caption, "This entitled and empowered Woman did not leave home on time to catch her flight and she missed the flight. But instead of accepting her mistake she is venting her frustration on this @Olacabs driver. Life of these cab drivers are always at the mercy of female passengers."
Mumbai Traffic Police Responds To Viral Video
Mumbai Traffic Police has responded to the viral clip, urging to report the incident to the nearest police station. "Request you to report the matter at nearest police station where the incident occurred," wrote Mumbai Traffic Police in their response. Authorities have not yet confirmed if the woman has been identified or if any action has been taken against her.
Social media users expressed their dismay at the woman’s behaviour, calling it 'shameful' and demanding strict action. Many empathized with the cab driver, who remained defenceless throughout the ordeal. There are no confirmed reports of any action taken in the matter as of now.
