The exhibition will be organised by Special Hangout, a Mumbai-based nonprofit led by a parent of an adult with intellectual disability, which works to provide a nurturing platform for individuals with disabilities.

This exhibition is part of its mission to foster inclusion, spread awareness, and create opportunities for neurodivergent individuals to express themselves, gain recognition, and connect with the larger community.

The exhibition will be held at Artists Centre of the Army Navy Building near Kala Ghoda Mumbai, from July 1 to July 7 with free entry for visitors. The exhibition’s highlights include live art sessions and interactive workshops for visiting students and guests, special guided tours by volunteers and some of the exhibiting artists and participation from all over India including several first-time exhibitors.

Ritu Vig, founder of Special Hangout, said, “This exhibition is not just about art; it’s about changing mindsets. Each canvas tells a story of strength, determination, and the power of inclusion. We hope visitors walk away not just moved by the artwork, but also inspired to build a more accepting society.”
