Mumbai: The Sahar police have booked a 26-year-old individual for allegedly smoking on a flight. The accused, Fasal Muhammad Pilakkool, was traveling on IndiGo flight 6E-1402 from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai on December 25. During the journey, he smoked inside the lavatory. The police registered the case on the same day and issued a notice to the accused.

According to the FIR, on December 25, Pilakkool, who was seated in seat 31C, was traveling on IndiGo flight 6E-1402 from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai. At around 3 a.m., he went into the lavatory and later returned to his seat. Crew members noticed a strong smell of cigarettes coming from the lavatory.

Subsequently, a crew member, Pratima, inspected the lavatory and found part of a cigarette. The crew questioned Pilakkool, who admitted to smoking inside the lavatory. When asked to hand over smoking-related items, he produced a cigarette packet containing six cigarettes.

The crew members reported the incident to the pilot, and upon landing at Mumbai International Airport, they handed Pilakkool over to the airline's security department. The investigation revealed that he is a resident of Kerala.
