Mumbai: A 53-year-old man died after being struck by a dumper truck while riding his motorcycle on the Western Express Highway en route to work in Malad. He was critically injured and rushed to Jogeshwari Trauma Care Center, where he was pronounced dead. The truck driver has been identified, and investigations are ongoing with police filing a case.

The individual who passed away, known as Ashok Dange, collapsed on the street after being struck by the truck. The effect left him critically hurt, after which he was hurried to a physician. Nevertheless, he fell victim to his injury and was pronounced dead after evaluation.

As per officials from the Aarey Police Station, Dange held a night shift job as a security guard at a firm in Jogeshwari East and managed a small business during the daytime. He consistently purchased items from the mall to bring back home.

On the day of the event, he departed from home as he typically does. At approximately 1:30 PM, the son of the deceased received a call from the police notifying him of his father's accident and that he had been transported to Jogeshwari Trauma Care Center. The family hurried to the hospital, where physicians confirmed that Dange had died. The Aarey Police have lodged a case under the pertinent sections 106(1) and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The truck driver has been recognized as 29-year-old Sheshrao Chauhan, who lives in Naya Gaon. High-ranking officials from the Aarey Police Station reported that a notice has been given to the driver concerning the incident, and additional investigation is in progress.
