With music maestro A.R. Rahman set to launch the global premiere of his concert ‘The Wonderment Tour’ on Saturday, at Dr. D. Y. Patil Stadium, Nerul, the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police has appealed to citizens to use public transport to avoid heavy congestion around the venue.

The much-anticipated event is expected to witness a massive turnout, including high-profile dignitaries, VIPs, and thousands of music fans. To manage the anticipated crowd and traffic, police have made elaborate parking and traffic arrangements across key locations in the city.

To accommodate vehicles of attendees, designated parking has been arranged at several locations including Panchsheel Ground, Raheja Universal, Tulsi Maidan Parking, Sunil Gavaskar Ground in Sector 9 CBD, Ramlila Maidan, and Bamandev Ground.

"In order to streamline the process and reduce congestion, attendees using private vehicles are urged to pre-book parking slots via the Park Plus mobile app or website before arriving at the venue. No parking on roadsides would be allowed. Vehicles found violating these rules will be subject to legal action," deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Tirupati Kakade said.

With limited parking space and the scale of the event, the Traffic Police strongly recommend using public transportation options to ensure a hassle-free experience for all. The city’s transportation and security teams are fully mobilized to ensure the safety and convenience of attendees, the officer said.
