Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt has always been a fitness inspiration, and even after welcoming her daughter Raha, she proved that dedication and patience can do wonders. From baby steps to full-fledged workouts, the actress embraced her post-pregnancy journey with grace and determination, as revealed by her trainer.
Look into Alia's body transformation
During pregnancy, Alia's workouts were carefully adapted to her changing needs. "A lot would depend on how she was feeling on a particular day because with pregnant women, no two days are the same. We always had a plan and programme, but we would tweak them when and where required," her trainer, Sohrab Khushrushahi, explained in an interview with the Indian Express.

"Alia is one of the hardest-working individuals out there, and I have an immense amount of respect for the effort she puts in, every single time," he expressed.
He further added that her "effort was always top-notch. We slowed things down a little to make sure she was always ok. We focused on breath and pelvic floor work with a lot of strength training to make sure we maintained our strength levels."

Post-pregnancy regime
Post-delivery, Alia eased into her fitness routine with short 15-minute walks and breathing exercises. As weeks passed, she incorporated yoga, Pilates, light cardio, and eventually, strength training. In an older chat with Vogue, she credited breastfeeding, portion control, and nutrient-rich meals, including fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins, for aiding her transformation.
In a December 2022 post, Alia Bhatt shared her postpartum fitness progress, revealing that just one and a half months after delivery, she attempted an inversion under the guidance of her teacher, Anshuka Parwani.
"Listening to your body post-delivery is key. Do NOT do anything your gut tells you not to," Alia advised fellow mothers. She recalled that in the first week or two of workouts, "all I did was breathe… walk… find my stability and balance again (& I still have a long way to go)." The actress added that after what her body achieved that year, she vowed to "never be hard on myself again."
With a mindful approach, consistent workouts, and balanced eating, Alia not only shed her pregnancy weight but also set a healthy example for new moms everywhere.
