Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh): A young Muslim woman married her Hindu boyfriend and adopted Sanatan Dharma in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh.

A video showing her at a temple after the wedding is now going viral on social media. She can be heard praising the Hindu culture and the Ramayana.

She said what attracted her most was the way women are treated in Hindu culture, with dignity and respect.

The woman, previously known as Shifa, has now taken the name Shanvi after her conversion. She took this step to marry her Hindu boyfriend, Rahul.

Speaking to the media, she said, “I feel women are given a lot of respect here. That’s what pulled me towards this path.”

She also shared that she has received a copy of the Ramayan and is eager to read it. “I will read it. I like Sanatan Dharma,” she said.

When asked what she knows about the Ramayan, Shanvi replied, “It has gods and goddesses. I like all of them.”

The young woman appeared calm and confident while speaking about her decision.

Her story has drawn attention in the area and sparked wider conversations about freedom of faith, cultural values, and interfaith relationships on social media.
