Bengaluru: A 13-year-old boy was reportedly killed after being kidnapped in Karnataka's capital, Bengaluru. The boy's half-burnt body was found in an isolated area along Kaggalipura Road on Thursday. Notably, the boy went missing on Wednesday. Nishchith was a Class 8 student at Christ School. The police arrested two accused after an encounter.
He was reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday evening while returning home from his tuition classes in Shantiniketan Layout, Arakere, reported India Today. Nishchith's father is an assistant professor at a private college. He lodged a missing complaint at the Hulimavu Police Station after Nishchith did not return from his tuition.

On Thursday, Nishchith's severely burned or charred body was recovered. As per the FIR, the 13-year-old boy went to his tuition class at 5 pm on Wednesday and left the class at around 7:30 pm, reported the media. However, when he did not reach home by 8 pm, his family reached out to the tuition teacher. Later, his bicycle was found near Promili Park in Arekere.
Nishchith's family then approached the police and filed a missing complaint. Later, his parents also received a ransom call. Kidnappers demanded Rs five lakh for Nishchith's release. However, the kidnappers killed the boy despite the family agreeing to their demand.

The police held the two accused near the Bannerghatta area after an encounter on Friday morning, reported The Times of India. As per the police, the accused attacked them with a dagger when they tried to arrest them.
A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
