Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): During Simhastha-2028 Mahaparv, all regular trains will not pass through Ujjain Railway Station, but alternate routes will be marked for them.
Special attention is being given to the up-gradation of Maksi and Nagda Railway Stations because Simhastha Mela Special Trains will pass through these stations.
Information to this effect was given in the meeting of Railway Coordination Committee held in the Administrative Complex Building, here on Thursday, for the works being constructed and recommended under Simhastha, wherever railway permission is required and the works to be done by the railway.
It was told that a holding area will be developed by the railway on platform 1 at Ujjain Railway Station. Besides, consent was given to build a foot over bridge at Ujjain station.
In the meeting, it was agreed to keep separate stations for boarding and de-boarding for the devotees coming to Ujjain during Simhastha so that crowd management can be done in a systematic manner.
It was agreed to keep the de-boarding of devotees coming from Ratlam route a Naikhedi and from Maksi and Bhopal route at Pingaleshwar sub-station and boarding of outbound or outgoing devotees from Ujjain station and another station.
Discussions were also held on making Vikram Nagar, Chintaman Railway Station as reserve station for evacuation, etc.
Permission for railway over-bridges to be constructed by public works department (bridge), PWD, MPRDC and other departments was also discussed in the meeting.
Divisional commissioner Sanjay Gupta, DRM Ashwin Kumar, in-charge Simhastha Mela Officer Asheesh Singh, SP Pradeep Sharma, collectors of Ujjain and Dewas, railway team and officers of other related departments were present.
ACS To Conduct Review Meet Today
A review meeting of the works recommended by the supervisory committee constituted under the chairmanship of chief secretary and the cabinet sub-committee for the implementation of Simhastha 2028 will be held on Friday at the Administrative Complex Building at 10 am. ACS, urban development and housing, Sanjay Shukla, will preside over it.
