Kasrawad (Madhya Pradesh): To enhance enrollment in 2025-26 academic session, teachers are using the Child Tracking App to identify students from classes I to XII.
BRC Rajaram Kandode said that 1,267 teachers across 403 schools in the town are conducting door-to-door surveys using the app.
The app collects information about children aged 6 to 18, including names, classes, schools and dropout status. This digital tool is being used to improve enrollment rates, identify dropouts, and determine eligibility for assistance schemes.
Additionally, a Training and Technical Assistance Centre has been established in the town to address technical issues related to the app. BAC Parmanand Pathote and others are ensuring prompt resolutions. Children travelling over 2 km to school may qualify for a cycle scheme, with 110 boys and 136 girls already deemed eligible.
As of now, approximately 11% of the survey work is complete and headmasters are overseeing the process in their respective villages.
Devotees worship parthiv shivling
Kasrawad (Madhya Pradesh): On the occasion of Shivratri during the Shravan month, over 2,000 devotees participated in a live pujan with Pandit Pradeep Mishra from Sehore on Wednesday.
Devotees worshipped parthiv shivlings in their homes across various colonies in the city and villages within the tehsil, with families, including children and women, joining in the sacred rituals.
Pandit Omprakash Shukla and Pandit Abhishek Rawal explained that the worship of the parthiv (earthen) shivling holds a significant place in Sanatan tradition.
They emphasised that this form of worship is believed to provide mental, physical and spiritual strength, allowing devotees to receive Lord Shiva's special blessings, ultimately bringing happiness, peace and prosperity into their lives.
According to the Linga Purana and Shiv Puran, those who worship the parthiv shivling with devotion are rewarded with happiness, fame and wealth.
The worship is said to cleanse sins and ease the path to salvation. Couples seeking children and individuals facing delays in marriage are particularly encouraged to perform this puja, as it is believed to bring favourable outcomes and alleviate the fear of untimely death.
