Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has officially scheduled interviews for the State Service Examination 2023, with proceedings set to begin from July 7. A total of 800 candidates have been shortlisted to compete for 229 vacancies across eight key government departments.

Candidates who have made it to the interview round must apply within the coming days. The MPPSC has released detailed guidelines for the interview process, instructing aspirants to carry their original documents for verification on the day of the interview.

The recruitment drive includes posts such as 27 deputy collectors, 22 deputy superintendents of police, 17 chief executive officers for Janpad Panchayat, 16 block officers, 122 cooperative inspectors, 17 chief municipal officers, as well as naib tehsildars and excise sub inspectors.

The preliminary examination for the 2023 recruitment cycle was held earlier, with results declared on January 18, 2024 where 6,662 candidates successfully qualified. These candidates appeared for the main exam on March 11, the results of which were announced on December 30. From the main and provisional lists, 800 candidates have now advanced to the final interview stage — 659 from the main list and 141 provisionally selected.

According to MPPSC officials, candidates will be able to download their interview admit cards from the Commission’s official website — www.mppsc.mp.gov.in — approximately three weeks before the interview date.

On the day of the interview, candidates are required to report to the MPPSC office at 9:30 a.m., following which document verification will take place.

The interviews mark the final phase of the State Service Examination, a prestigious gateway to administrative positions within the Madhya Pradesh state government.
