Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A workshop on cybersecurity was organised under the faculty development programme at Army Public School, Mhow focusing on equipping teachers with tools to protect students from online threats.
National cyber security expert Professor Gourav Rawal led the session, emphasising safe internet practices and the legal framework under IT Act, 2008. The session began with a warm welcome from Principal Gargi Vidyarthi and Vice Principal SK Chaudhary.
Professor Rawal educated teachers on increasing risks associated with online gaming, cyberbullying, data theft and inappropriate content. He shared ten key tips to help parents safeguard their children, such as using parental controls, setting screen-time limits and disabling location sharing.

He also highlighted Section 66-E of the Information Technology Act and demonstrated how to strengthen privacy settings across social media platforms. Teachers were advised to use strong passwords and be alert to spying tools like Key-Logger.
The session concluded with heartfelt words of appreciation from Dr. Pramod Srivastava, who expressed his gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic engagement and collective efforts, which played a vital role in making the workshop a resounding success.
