Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A road accident was reported on Nagpur-Raipur highway near Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon district on Saturday, which claimed 6 lives, the police said.
According to information, 6 young men, 3 of whom were from Indore, lost their lives in a car crash.
The victims were working with Reliance Insurance Company located in Indore. They had gone on a devotional pilgrimage and had visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain two nights earlier.
The accident took place at approximately 5:30 am near Chirchari village in the area of Baig River police station.
The group was traveling in an Ertiga vehicle which lost balance, rode over a 9-inch high divider and went onto the other side.
\A speeding truck traveling in the opposite direction hit the vehicle with so much force that it got severely damaged, killing all six passengers instantly.

Out of the six killed, three were Indore residents, one each from Ratlam, Dhar, and Odisha. Car driver Sagar Yadav, the sole survivor of Indore's Gandhinagar was critically injured. Driver’s brother Saurabh Yadav also lost his life in the accident.
Police have taken the bodies to the Community Health Center in Chup Chiraiya for postmortem and have started further investigations.
The tragedy has left families and locals in deep grief. The deceased were on their way to visit Jagannath Puri, Odisha.
