Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The district administration has come out with an innovative idea to reduce the pendency of the revenue cases. Now it will offer a Rs 5000 prize to the applicants who inform it about their pending revenue cases.

The presence of the officers in revenue courts will be monitored through Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled cameras. Such cameras are being installed in revenue courts of the district.

Collector Asheesh Singh said that to ensure timely presence of officers in revenue courts, AI- based camera surveillance system was being implemented. This technological innovation was an attempt to bring discipline and accountability in the judicial process.

Addressing the Time Limit (TL) meeting of disposing the registered cases here on Monday, Collector Singh said that this campaign was not only a strong initiative towards the speedy resolution of pending cases, but would also set new standards of administrative accountability and transparency.

Talking about the speedy and effective disposal of revenue cases in the special campaign, the collector said that the district administration had started an innovative and strictly monitored campaign with the aim of prompt and effective resolution of pending revenue cases in the district.

Under this special campaign, a target had been set to ensure resolution of all pending revenue cases in the district. Under the drive all the cases registered till May 31 would have to be disposed of by July 15. Monitoring of the campaign’s progress would be continuous, effective and result-oriented.

Action would be taken against the revenue officers if negligence was found in the resolution of cases under the campaign. Also, the officers would get rewards for excellent work. Applicants who reported that their cases were not resolved within the stipulated period of the campaign would be given prize money of Rs 5,000.
