Unnao (Uttar Pradesh), August 10: Many incidents have made headlines where people found unexpected or unhygienic items in their food, from non-vegetarian items in a vegetarian meal to lizards or insects in curries and tandoori roti from across the country in the recent past. A similar shocking incident has now emerged from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, where a Sevadar at Shiva temple found meat pieces inside the paneer and roti ordered online from Al Habib Restaurant. The Sevadar recorded the incident and made the video viral on social media.
According to reports, the incident occurred in Magarwara in the Sadar Kotwali area, where a man identified as Dheeraj, who serves daily at a local Shiva temple, had ordered paneer curry and roti. The order was placed online from Al Habib Restaurant. When the food arrived and the package was opened, he was stunned as the paneer curry allegedly contained pieces of meat.
Dheeraj said that he performs worship and service at the Shiva temple every day and after completing the rituals, he ordered paneer curry as usual. However, on opening the container, he shockingly discovered what appeared to be chicken pieces in the curry. He claimed that this not only hurt his religious sentiments but was also an act against his faith.
He accused the restaurant owner of insulting religious beliefs and “trying to destroy religion.” There are reports that the incident was reported to the police and an investigation has been initiated in connection with the matter. Legal action may be taken against the restaurant operator for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments and showing disrespect towards the faith after the investigation is completed.

Responding to the viral video, the police said, "Based on the complaint received, the Sadar Kotwali Police Station is conducting an investigation and taking necessary legal action."
