Chandigarh: Congress MP from Gurdaspur, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, who is also former Punjab’s deputy chief minister, on Friday alleged that jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria has threatened to kill his son Udhayveer.
He said in his post on X: Jailed gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuriya has threatened to kill my son. One of my associates met my son and within one hour of leaving he was fired upon today. I am in Delhi for the Parliament session. No gangster can shake me. @BhagwantMann and @ArvindKejriwal have turned Punjab into a gangster’s paradise where law and order has totally collapsed’’.
Pertinently, about a month ago Bhagwanpuria’s mother Harjit Kaur and a relative Karanvir Singh were shot dead in Gurdaspur district and Bhagwanpuria's rival gangster Davinder Bambiha had taken responsibility for the same. However, Bhagwanpuria’s relatives named Randhawa and his son Udhayveer in the complaint after the said murders.

It may be recalled that Bhagwanpuria, who faces 128 cases for various heinous crimes and who is linked with Lawrence Bishnoi gang, is currently lodged in Assam’s Silchar Central Jail. He is also an accused in the 2022 shocking killing of Sidhu Moosewala.
Meanwhile, reacting sharply in the context, state Congress chief and Ludhiana MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said that a gangster has the audacity to threaten a senior leader and former deputy chief minister from inside a Jail… imagine the plight of common people in Punjab…. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has destroyed Punjab.
