Raipur, May 28: After Indian Medical Association filed a suit of defamation of Rs 1000 crore and demanded FIR under sedation law against Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, he, and his premier institution Patanjali have landed into yet another controversy.

Patanjali Gurukul was alleged of violating child rights and keeping in detention four children of Chhattisgarh's Gariyaband in want of money.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel tweeted on Friday: “I have received a complaint that four children of Chhattisgarh were detained in Patanjali Gurukul. On the intervention of Gariyaband Collector and Superintendent of Police, the detained children were freed. I pray for their bright future,” he added.

SP Gariyaband Bhojram Patel said that after the information of detention in Gurukulam Haridwar was brought to their knowledge, district police quickly acted on the issue and with the help of Haridwar administration, the children were safely rescued.

As per a complaint lodged before the Haridwar district magistrate on May 26 by the parents of the students, they had already deposited Rs 2,60,000 with the institute at the time of admission. But when they asked them to let their children return home, they were allegedly asked to shell out more money.
