New Delhi: Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate on Tuesday shared a clip from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech, claiming that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi made the Prime Minister drink water.
The purported video shows Rahul Gandhi interrupting PM Modi during his address. In the clip, PM Modi is seen speaking about Operation Sindoor, saying, "Humne humara lakshya poora kar diya. Agar aap kuch karoge toh mehenga padega," which roughly translates to: "We have accomplished our goal. If you do anything, it will cost you."
Rahul Gandhi can then be heard interrupting, saying, "Keh dijiye ki Trump ne jhooth bola hai," which translates to: "Say that Trump has lied."
In response, Union Home Minister Amit Shah can be heard saying to the Speaker, "Aise kaise chalta hai?" meaning, "How does this work?" The video then shows PM Modi drinking water from a glass kept on the bench.
Supriya Shrinate shared the video on X, saying: "By mentioning Trump's name, Rahul ji made Narendra Modi drink water."
YouTuber and critic of the Modi government, Dhruv Rathee, also shared the clip. "Rahul Gandhi: Sir ab toh keh dijiye ki Trump ne Jhooth bola Hai PM Modi: *drinks water*" Rathee said.
Rahul Gandhi Reacts To PM Modi's Speech
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech on Operation Sindoor said, "He never said it clearly that Trump was lying... In his entire speech, not once did he mention China."
He further said, "The whole nation knows that China helped Pakistan in every way, but the Prime Minister and Defence Minister never named China anywhere in their speeches."
No Leader Stoped India
Although PM Modi did not name Donald Trump, he clarified in his speech that no country or leader in the world stopped India from taking action in self-defence. India had achieved its targets, which is why it decided to stop the conflict.
