New Delhi: In the aftermath of the India-Pakistan conflict, widespread outrage sparked in India against Turkey for its decision to back Islamabad. Notably, Turkey helped Pakistan with drones after India's Operation Sindoor. These drones were used against India by Pakistan to target civilian and military installations. Reports are now surfacing that New Delhi is likely to review contracts given to Turkey-based Celebi Aviation.

For the unversed, Celebi Aviation handles high-security tasks at nine Indian airports, including Delhi and Mumbai, reported News18.

All About Celebi Aviation:

Celebi Aviation is a Turkish-based company. It is specialised in integrated ground handling services. The company was founded in 1958. It is Turkey's first privately-owned ground handling firm. With 3,000 employees, Celebi Aviation operates across three continents, reported NDTV.

After its establishment, the company has grown into a global aviation services provider. It offers facilities, including ramp handling, passenger and cargo operations. It started its operation in India through a joint venture at Mumbai International Airport.

The company then established two separate firms -- Celebi Airport Services India and Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India, reported NDTV. Notably, Celebi Airport Services India was formed to manage ground handling operations, while Celebi Delhi Cargo Terminal Management India oversees cargo services at Delhi International Airport.

According to reports, Celebi Aviation carries out a number of high-security tasks at Indian airports. These operations are critical to the safe and efficient functioning of airport operations.

Turkish is facing backlash in India for supporting Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena issued a 10-day ultimatum to Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) to end its contract with Celebi Aviation.

Indian Tourists Cancelling Their Tickets To Turkey:

Hundreds of Indian tourists are now cancelling their trips to Turkey and Azerbaijan as these countries supported Pakistan in the conflict with India following the massacre of 26 tourists in Kashmir’s Pahalgam by Islamabad-backed terrorists.

Leading online travel booking platforms MakeMyTrip and EaseMyTrip have reported mass cancellations and a sharp drop in Indian tourists wanting to travel to Turkey and Azerbaijan due to their anti-India stand during Operation Sindoor.
