The makers of Nikita Dutta and Saif Ali Khan's upcoming film, Jewel Thief, unveiled a new song titled Ilzaam on Thursday (April 17). While the song is soulful and romantic, what’s truly grabbed the attention of social media is the sizzling chemistry between Saif Ali Khan and Nikita Dutta, especially the steamy kiss that opens the video.
The visuals unfold with Saif charmingly flirting with Nikita, as undeniable sexual tension simmers beneath the surface. Their on-screen pairing crackles with energy. While Saif is 54 years old, Nikita is only 34.
Nikita brings a blend of elegance and vulnerability, letting her expressive eyes convey unspoken emotions, while Saif adds a quiet intensity and restrained passion that complements her performance. Together, they elevate the emotional pulse of the track.
Ilzaam is sung by Shilpa Rao and Vishal Mishra and it has been penned by Kumaar. The song has been composed by Soundtrek and Anis Ali Sabri.
Nikita on her role in Jewel Thief
During the trailer launch of Jewel Thief in Mumbai, Nikita expressed gratitude and opened up about finally playing a 'typical Bollywood heroine' in the film.
"I've been part of Siddharth Anand's (producer) world, which I feel is a huge thing because I mean, I feel as an actor, especially as a female actress, I would say. I don’t think I've lived the classic Bollywood heroine tag, which, thanks to you and Mamta (Siddharth's wife), I have gotten this opportunity to play the classic Bollywood heroine. I'm not saying because you're going to see me dancing. It's just overall to get the heroine feeling. I think I've gotten that from this film."
Directed by Kookie Gulati, Robbie Grewal and written by Sumit Aroraa, Jewel Thief is set against the breathtaking backdrops of Budapest, Istanbul, and Mumbai. The heist drama is touted to be a pulse-pounding game of wits, deception, and action.
Jewel Thief, also starring Jaideep Ahlawat, and Kunal Kapoor, is all set to stream on Netflix from April 25.
The story of the film follows Aulak (Jaideep), a powerful figure obsessed with acquiring Red Sun, Africa’s most valuable diamond. He hires a skilled thief (Saif) to steal it. Hot on their trail is a determined cop (Kunal), intent on capturing the elusive robber. Adding intrigue is the female lead, married to the villain but seemingly sharing a mysterious past with the thief.
