Telugu actor Siddhu Jonnalagadda has returned Rs 4.75 crore to the producer of his recent film Jack after it failed to perform at the box office. The spy action-comedy, which released in theatres on April 10, 2025, collected less than Rs 10 crore, falling short of audience expectations.
On Wednesday (June 4), Siddhu's PR team shared a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), and stated, "Siddu Jonnalagadda returns half of his remuneration Rs 4.75 crore to the producer @SVCCofficial & @BvsnP as his previous film Jack incurred losses. Heart Warming Gesture & Right Understanding Of Market Situations. His next Telusu Kada releasing on October 17."
The post confirmed that the actor voluntarily gave back half of his fee to producer BVSN Prasad in a gesture that has been appreciated by fans and industry insiders. Siddhu reportedly charged Rs 9.5 crore for the film.
Jack featured Siddhu in the role of a R&AW aspirant named Pablo Neruda, also known as Jack. Vaishnavi Chaitanya played detective Afshana, while Prakash Raj and Rahul Dev were also part of the cast.
The film was expected to build on Siddhu's previous success with Tillu Square, which earned nearly Rs 135 crore at the box office. However, Jack failed to match expectations.
The film was also seen as a comeback vehicle for director Bommarillu Bhaskar, whose last hit was Most Eligible Bachelor in 2021, but it did not resonate with audiences.

Siddhu will next be seen in Telusu Kada, directed by stylist-turned-director Neeraja Kona. The film also stars Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty and is scheduled for release on October 17. Additionally, Siddhu is expected to return as Bala Gangadhar Tilak, aka Tillu, in the third installment of the popular Tillu franchise.
