In 2007, a movie titled Life In A Metro was released. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film starred Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles. It was a romantic-musical, and had done well at the box office. Now, after 18 years, a spiritual sequel to the film titled Metro In Dino is all set to hit the big screens.
Anurag Basu has once again worn the director’s hat for the sequel, and this time it stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher in the lead roles. Well, only Konkona from the first instalment is back in the sequel.
On Wednesday, the trailer of Metro In Dino was launched at an event in Mumbai. The trailer is wonderful, and it looks like that Basu has made one of the most relatable films of recent times. The movie will revolve around four couples who are at different stages of their lives.
Well, it is a multi-starrer film, and in the trailer, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Fatima Sana Shaikh steal the show.
One thing that we still remember about Life In A Metro is the music. The songs of the film were just fantastic, and now, we have a lot of expectations from the songs of Metro In Dino. Zamaana Lage is already a chartbuster, but the trailer promises that the other songs will also be impressive.
After watching the trailer of Metro In Dino, we now surely have high expectations from the movie. So, let’s hope that the film also impresses us.
