This week, three films have hit the big screens: Rajkummar Rao starrer Maalik, Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor’s Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, and the Hollywood film Superman. Maalik and Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan have received majorly negative reviews, but Supeman is being praised by one and all. Talking about the box office collection, the Hollywood release has taken the lead.
Maalik Box Office Collection Day 1
The Rajkummar Rao starrer on its day one is expected to take an opening of Rs. 3-4 crore. It is a decent number, but reportedly, the film is made on a budget of Rs. 50 crore. So, it surely needs to show a huge jump at the box office during the weekend.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Box Office Collection Day 1
Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor starrer Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is heading towards a dismal opening. The movie might just collect around Rs. 40-50 lakh on its day 1. Only a miraculous growth on Saturday and Sunday can save the film.
Superman Box Office Collection Day 1
Meanwhile, the Hollywood release, Superman, is expected to have a better start at the box office in India. The film on its first day might collect around Rs. 8-10 crore which is a good number, and it is expected to show a jump over the weekend.

Maalik Review
The Free Press Journal reviewer gave Maalik 2 stars and wrote, “Maalik is a dull gangster drama that offers nothing new. Even if you are a Rajkummar Rao fan, you will be disappointed!”

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Review
The Free Press Journal reviewer gave Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan 3 stars and wrote, “This is a well-intentioned film with an identity crisis. It tries to feel something deeply, even if it often feels too much, too loudly, and for too long. It wants to be lyrical, but slips into parody; it wants to be profound, but settles for precious. Still, it has its heart — if not its eyesight — in the right place.”
