Prithviraj Sukumaran will next be seen in Sarzameen, which also stars Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the lead roles. It is Ibrahim's second film after Nadaaniyan, which was released earlier this year on Netflix. For his performance in Nadaaniyan, Ibrahim received negative reviews from the critics as well as the audience. A few days ago, Kajol had spoken up about Ibrahim and other star kids facing trolls on social media, and now, Prithviraj, in an interview, spoke about his co-actor facing criticism.
While talking to India Today about Ibrahim facing criticism for his performance in Nadaaniyan, Prithviraj said, "See, Ibrahim will be wonderful in this film, but that's not going to put an end to anything. Hello, if Shah Rukh Khan sir can still be criticised, why can't Ibrahim Ali Khan be criticised? Come on. From where I come from, Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir are still criticised. There's nothing bigger than that for us to understand that that's never going to end.”
“You have to just keep trying. I've totally realised that it never gets easier. You think, ‘Oh, that one blockbuster,’ and then it gets easier? No. It does not. It never gets easier. The idea is that you start really enjoying the grind," the actor added.
Prithviraj Sukumaran Praises Ibrahim Ali Khan
The Aiyyaa actor also praised Ibrahim and stated that the young actor is one of the most well-prepared debutants he has worked with. He further said, “I really think Ibrahim has put in a lot of work for this film. It's really a lot of work from him. And as people already know, the camera really loves him. He is a very, very good-looking boy.”
Kajol On Ibrahim Ali Khan Getting Trolled
A few days ago, Kajol in an interview PTI, Kajol had spoken up about Ibrahim and other star kids facing trolls on social media. She had said, "Today, it’s almost like a do-or-die situation for them (star kids), and for this, they’re very well prepared. I have to give them that. But we can be a little kinder.”
Sarzameen Release Date
Directed by Kazoye Irani, Sarzameen is slated to release on July 25, 2025. It will premiere on Jio Hotstar. So, for Ibrahim, it is his second OTT release.
