Kajol is a star kid. Her mother, Tanuja, was one of the most popular actresses of the 60s and 70s, and her father, Shomu Mukherjee, was a filmmaker. So, she clearly understands the pressure that a star kid goes through. This year, Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, made his debut with Nadaaniyan, and he was trolled a lot for his performance in the movie. He is now gearing up for his second release, Sarzameen, which also stars Kajol in the lead role.
Recently, while talking to PTI, the actress opened up about the trolling that Ibrahim and other star kids have to face. She stated, “Trolls will criticise you whether you have parents who are well-known or not. But we listen to them a little more when they’re talking about somebody whose parents are well-known, maybe.”

Kajol further said, “We had that chance to grow; we were given that time, or maybe enough films, to grow and to become who we are. Today, it’s almost like a do-or-die situation for them, and for this, they’re very well prepared. I have to give them that. But we can be a little kinder.”
The Maa actress also revealed that reinvention is important and actors need to understand that they have to unlearn everything they have learnt earlier, and keep doing new things.

Sarzameen Release Date
Sarzameen, which is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Boman Irani’s son, Kayoze Irani, is slated to release on Jio Hotstar on July 25, 2025. The movie also stars Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.
The trailer of the film has impressed one and all, and even Ibrahim has grabbed everyone’s attention in it. But now let’s wait and watch how the film turns out.
