Bollywood filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, known for directing Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, took a dig at Aamir Khan's commentary during the final IPL match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on June 3. For those unversed, Aamir was present at the stadium with the live Bhojpuri and Hindi during RCB's innings. He had arrived to promote his upcoming film Sitare Zameen Par.
Soon after Aamir's presence, Rahul took to his official X account and wrote, "Yaar picture ka promotion karo gyaan mat baato (Promote your film but don't sermonise). I want KOHLI to win this year and Zinta to win next year! Both these passionate people deserve to win- for their sheer persistence."
It may be noted that Rahul did not name anyone in his post, however, netizens were convinced that it was for Aamir because of the post's timing. Interestingly, the director deleted the post hours after sharing it on the social media platform.
Take a look at Rahul's now-deleted post here:

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, RCB dealt a heartbreaking blow to Shreyas Iyer-led PBKS, who fell just six runs short of clinching the IPL 2025 trophy.
Later, in another post, Rahul congratulated Kohli and RCB for the victory. He wrote, "Lucky Number 18 ! Congrats RCB."
Rahul is best known for his National Award-winning film Parzania which was based on the Gujarat riots. He gained wider with Raees (2017), starring Shah Rukh and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan.
On the other hand, Aamir will be next seen in the film, Sitaare Zameen Par, which is slated to release in theatres on June 20, 2025. The film also stars Genelia D'Souza in a key role. It is a remake of the Spanish film, Champions. Currently, the actor is busy with the film's promotions.
