Actress Chitrangda Singh, who was last seen in Housefull 5, recently reacted to the backlash over the film's sexist humour and the objectification of female actors. While she acknowledged that some people might not enjoy certain jokes in the film, she defended it by calling Housefull 5 a "family entertainer."
Chitrangda told Zoom, "I feel every has its own tone and metre of what the dialogues are and what the tone of the film is. This is that kind of film. Then there’s Hera Pheri, Golmaal and many more. Every film has its own metre when it comes to humour."

She further added that audiences are likely to enjoy Housefull 5 if they watch it with friends. "Every family also has different dynamics. It is for you to go and find whether you like it or not. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion, I am not defending anything," he added.
The 49-year-old actress shared that films like Adam Sandler's You Don't Mess with the Zohan and Pink Panther have a specific tone of humour, and she believes that not all films should be judged by the same standards.
"Every film can’t be an Airlift, and an Airlift can’t be a Housefull 5. There are different kinds of entertainment. I am not defending, but this is how I feel," concluded Singh.

Housefull 5 also features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Soundarya Sharma, Dino Morea, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer and Johnny Lever.
The film was directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
