Today, Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan turned 62 and on this special occasion, her lovely daughter didn’t miss any chance to give a special wish to her mom. Recently, the Raazi actress shared an old picture of mom Soni with dad Mahesh Bhatt.
Alia captioned the snap, “Happy Birthday my stunning stunning mommy ❤️ thank you for being a classic example of beauty INSIDE OUT! No amount of words can express how fortunate I am to have a mother/friend/partner-in-trying-different-diets like you!! Even if I say it a million times a day it won’t be enough.. But.. I love you ❤️❤️❤️”
Recently, Soni shared her MeToo moment of sexual harassment. She had told The Quint, “Like there was an incident that happened to me when I was on a film shoot and somebody tried to rape me, for example, that kind of thing. Luckily they didn’t succeed.”
Despite facing her worst nightmare, Soni didn’t complain of the incident and said, “You know the only reason I never said anything at that time and it sounds really odd maybe but I realised if I would have opened my mouth that person would have gone through a lot of problems. He had a family, small children. And at that time I said, ok, nothing really happened, I managed to control it but obviously I never spoke to that person again. I did not, not talk about it because of any shame or anything like that. I felt that I would be hurting his family, whom I knew.”
Soni and Alia were seen together as mother-daughter in Raazi. Alia’s next Kalank also features Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Kunal Kemmu is all set to release on April 19, 2019.
