Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, last seen in the Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan: II, had her car hit by a BEST bus on the streets of Mumbai on Wednesday. However, it is unknown whether the actress was inside the car at the time of the incident.
The news was first shared by celebrity paparazzo Varinder Chawla on his Instagram handle, where he posted a video showing the actress' car being hit by a BEST bus.
The video shared by the paparazzo shows Aishwarya's grey luxury Toyota Vellfire worth Rs 1.49 crore, stopped in the middle of the road as BEST bus No 231, which plies between Juhu and Santacruz station, hit the car from behind. Several people gathered at the spot and pulled up the bus driver. However, Aishwarya's presence in the car remains unknown.

However, the car didn't seem to sustain serious damage. The actress is yet to issue an official statement on the accident.
Aishwarya has been married to Abhishek Bachchan for 17 long years now, and the two are one of the most loved couples of B-Town. However, in 2024, there were rumours stating that the couple was heading for a divorce.
Several reports also stated that the two were living separately. Rumours about tension between Aishwarya and Abhishek began when the actress and her daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, arrived separately for Anant Ambani's wedding, while the rest of the family, including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya, Abhishek, Shweta, Agastya Nanda, and Navya Nanda, attended together.
Since the divorce rumours, the couple has made appearances at their daughter's annual event, been spotted together at the airport, and attended various events.
In fact, on Abhishek's birthday on February 5, Aishwarya shared his childhood photo on Instagram, seemingly quashing the rumours.
On the work front, the 51-year-old actress is yet to announce a new film. She was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan II, which won her several awards and accolades.
