RJ Mahvash reacted to constant trolling and speculation surrounding her personal and professional life, particularly after being linked to cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal post his divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma. On Friday (June 20), Mahvash took to Instagram to post a video, giving befitting replies to trolls who claimed that Chahal was the reason behind her success.
In the video, Mahvash displayed screenshots of derogatory comments she's received in recent weeks.
One troll wrote, "Yuzi bhai ne iska career bana diya." To this, she responded, "2019 se iss industry mein hoon." She backed her statement by sharing a series of photos and videos showcasing her long-standing work, including a behind-the-scenes moment with Nawazuddin Siddiqui on the sets of Section 108, a film she has produced.
Another comment mocked her for attending cricket matches in support of Chahal, saying, "Cricket pitch tak pahuch gayi, isko cricket ke baare mein kuch pata hai bhi ki nahi." Mahvash clapped back saying, "Tu paida bhi nahi hua tha na chotu tab se cricket events host kar rahi hoon. 2019 se I've been on the pitch. WhatsApp University ke forwarded messages mat padha kar."
When accused of lacking talent with the question, "Iska khud ka bhi kuch talent hai ki nahi?" , she replied, "2 books likh chuki hoon. Scientist baap ki bachi hoon aur baaki ka talent Amazon pe jaake dekh lena."
Mahvash also reminded trolls of her multi-faceted career: she's a radio jockey, content creator, actor, host, producer, and author. She was recently seen in Prime Video's Pyaar Paisa Profit as the lead actress.
She concluded the video by saying, "Itni toh tumhari umar bhi nahi hai jitna lamba mera career raha hai."
Mahvash and Chahal's dating rumours
Mahvash attended almost every match of Punjab Kings in the latest IPL season and supporting Chahal from the stands. While this only added fuel to the rumours about them being in a relationship, it did not deter her from openly supporting Chahal.
On the sidelines of the IPL, she also said in an interview that she is "single and happy", confusing people about her bond with Chahal.
Rumours of Mahvash and Chahal dating first started doing the rounds around the time the cricketer's marriage with Dhanashree hit rough waters. They eventually got divorced in March 2025.
